MCATA proudly announces the dedication of the VMGR Memorial Monument will be held in the Medal of Honor Theater on June, 7, 2024 at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico. The dedication event will be primarily for families of the forty-three Marines honored by name on the monument. There will be a separate event for MCATA and the larger VMGR community, details will be forthcoming.

You can help. Our intent is to host a first-class dedication ceremony and reception. We expect great interest from our forty-three Marine’s families. Help them feel the honor, pride, and appreciation we all feel toward them and of course toward our fallen Marine comrades. Donate under the new donation category, VMGR Memorial Dedication Fund. This money will be used to rent the facility, catering, equipment, invitations, mementos, etc. Planning is just getting started. The nature of the dedication ceremony will be directly dependent on your generosity. We have established a goal of $50,000.00 dollars. Please give generously. Small or large, all donations help!
We also announce the addition of a $350 brick. As most of you are aware, we raised a good portion of the money for the monument through the sale of commemorative bricks. Previously, bricks were available at $1,000.00, $800.00, and $500.00. Plenty of bricks remain available. The new $350 brick will replace the $800 brick and allow more of you to commemorate your service, that of a loved one, or your organization. All bricks are the same size. $1,000.00 bricks will be installed in closest proximity to the monument, an “inner ring”, so to speak, surrounded by a ring of $500.00 bricks, and an outer ring of $350.00 bricks. ALL your bricks will be placed at OUR monument, a worthy place for any transporter, transporter family member, or other veteran or patriotic person or group to show pride, honor, and respect.
